Proyecto Educativo para familiares y pacientes con hepatopatía por virus C

La educación en enfermería es un pilar importante dentro de la docencia y de la asistencia
sanitaria en los pacientes. El objetivo de este proyecto es el de incrementar los
conocimientos sobre el virus de la hepatitis C (VHC), con el fin de manejar los pacientes
mejor la enfermedad. La hepatitis C es aún una enfermedad que estigmatiza al enfermo, y
que hace que el paciente refleje no sólo síntomas físicos, sino que al mismo tiempo, le
afecte a niveles psíquicos y sociales debido a la enfermedad. Un aumento de
conocimientos, buenas actitudes y la capacidad de desarrollar nuevas habilidades hacen
que la enfermedad se afronte de una manera más positiva. El proyecto educativo está
formado por sesiones que ayudarán a pacientes y familiares a entender la enfermedad
desde un punto de vista biopsicosocial, intentando mejorar la relación paciente-familia y
paciente-enfermedad.

Nursing education is an important pillar within the teaching and health care for patients. The
objective of this project is to increase knowledge about the hepatitis C virus (HCV) in order
for patients to better manage their disease. The hepatitis C is a disease that still stigmatizes
the patient and makes the patient reflect on not only physical symptoms, but also the mental
and social aspects of the disease. Increased knowledge, good attitudes and the ability to
develop new skills make the disease be tackled in a more positive way. The educational
program consists of sessions that will help patients and families understand the illness from a
psychosocial point of view, trying to improve the patient-family and disease-patient
relationship.
