Este estudio intenta presentar la reflexión teológica sobre la Iglesia de Alfonso Salmerón (1515-1585), uno de los primeros compañeros de S. Ignacio, que recibió en la Universidad de Alcalá una educación humanística excepcional. Entre 1569 y 1585 redactó su obra Commentarii in Evangelicam Historiam et in Acta Apostolorum (I-XII) y los Commentarii in omnes epistolas beati Pauli et canonicas (XIII-XVI). Este artículo analiza dónde y cómo Salmerón habla de la Iglesia: su fundación, el primado de Pedro, la Iglesia como pueblo de Dios y como comunión.

The ai, of this study is to present the theological reflection on the Church of Alfonso Salmerón (1515-1585), one of Ignatius's companions who had adquired an outstanding humanistic education at Alcalá University. Between 1569 and 1585 he wrote a monumental work: Commentarii in Evangelicam Historiam et in Acta Apostolorum (I-XII) and the Commentarii in omnes epistolas beati Pauli et canonicas (XIII-XVI). This article analyses where and how Salmerón speaks aboru the Church: its foundation, the primacy of Peter, the Church as the people of God and as communion.
