La nueva droga del Siglo XXI: La Ludopatía. Estudio desde el Trabajo Social: revisión bibliográfica

En la actualidad, el fenómeno de la ludopatía se encuentra muy presente en España, siendo de los países con las cifras más altas. Esta enfermedad lleva décadas en nuestro país, sin embargo, se ha comenzado a visibilizar por el incremento de menores que la padecen, fruto del fácil acceso mediante internet y la intensificación del uso de pantallas durante la pandemia declarada en 2020. El presente trabajo ha tenido como objetivos analizar la situación en la que se encuentra esta problemática en el país, las causas del inicio en el juego, los factores de riesgo, las consecuencias que tiene y el papel del trabajador social en este ámbito. El trabajo se ha basado en una revisión bibliográfica dando respuesta a estos objetivos y con el apoyo de tres entrevistas de ludópatas rehabilitados.

Currently, the gambling phenomenom is very present in Spain, being one of the countries with the highest figures in this field. This disease has been in our country for many decades, however, it is now more noticeable than ever due to an increase in minors that suffer from it, as a result of an easy internet access and the intensification of the use of screens during the pandemic declared in 2020. For this reason, this paper has had as objective to, analyze this problem in the current country's situation, the initial causes of minors gambling, the risk factors, the consequences, and the role of social workers in this field. This work has been based on a literature review to respond to these objectives, and with the support of three rehabilitated gamblers through interviews.
