La bioética en la UNESCO: Veinticinco años del Comité Internacional de Bioética (IBC)

En 1993, es decir, hace veinticinco años, bajo la Dirección General de Federico Mayor Zaragoza, la UNESCO crea el Comité Internacional de Bioética, International Bioethics Committee (IBC). In 1993, twenty-five years ago, under the General Directorate of Federico Mayor Zaragoza, UNESCO created the International Bioethics Committee (IBC). This, undoubtedly, responded to the demand to constitute a forum for debate, reflection and proposal of solutions in a dilemmatically complex area such as Bioethics, which at that time was already facing very difficult challenges in which an answer national or even regional was shown to be manifestly insufficient.
