Intimidad y religiosidad como posibles predictores de satisfacción en la relación conyugal

El objetivo de este estudio es investigar sobre la relación de la Intimidad y la Religiosidad con
respecto a la Satisfacción Marital en 60 sujetos de la Comunidad de Madrid. Para esta
investigación, se recogió una muestra de 60 personas, incluyendo hombres y mujeres casados por
unión religiosa que profesaban activamente el cristianismo. Para el análisis de las variables se
utilizaron diferentes cuestionarios, tales como la Escala de Satisfacción Marital de Pick de Weiss
y Andrade Palos (1988), el inventario multidimensional de intimidad de Osnaya (2003) y la
Escala Breve de Francis para actitud ante el cristianismo, (Francis-5). Los datos obtenidos en los
cuestionarios de Intimidad y Religiosidad se compararon con los obtenidos en el cuestionario de
Satisfacción marital, a través dos análisis estadísticos de correlación. Los resultados mostraron
una relación significativa y positiva entre la Satisfacción conyugal percibida por los sujetos y el
grado de intimidad que decían tener en su relación conyugal. Por otro lado, los resultados de la
correlación obtenidos para las variables religiosidad y satisfacción marital no fueron
significativos.

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between Intimacy and Religion regarding
Marital Satisfaction in 60 subjects located in Madrid State. For this investigation, a sample of 60
subjects was collected, including men and women married by religious union and who professed
to be active Christians. To asses the data the Marital Satisfaction Scale by Pick and Andrade Palos
(1988), the Multidimensional Inventory of Intimacy by Osnaya (2003) and the five-item version
of the Francis Scale of attitude toward Christianity (Francis-5) were used. Data obtained from the
Intimacy and Religiosity questionnaires was compared to the data obtained in the Marital
Satisfaction questionnaire through two statistical correlation analysis. Results showed a
significant and positive relationship between perceived Marital Satisfaction and degree of
Intimacy that they claimed to have in their marriage. On the other hand, the results obtained in
the correlation between the variables Religion and Marital Satisfaction were not significant.
