El Modelo Económico Sueco. Lecciones Sobre Cómo Paliar una Crisis Financiera.

Suecia ha evolucionado desde unas pésimas condiciones de partida a finales del siglo XVIII hasta convertirse en una de las mayores y más prósperas potencias a nivel mundial. El modelo sueco – o svenska modellen – conforma el conjunto de medidas a nivel político-económico que marcan las líneas de actuación ante situaciones de crisis del país nórdico. Sin embargo, juzgamos los modelos por su efectividad ante situaciones de presión. En el caso de Suecia, esta situación fue la crisis financiera de 1991, que sacudió a las naciones nórdicas en diferente medida. Suecia, ante la atenta mirada del resto de actores internacionales, logró solventar esta crisis con absoluta eficiencia. Actualmente, la comunidad internacional toma a Suecia como ejemplo y se plantea si este modelo puede ser imitado en otras naciones ante crisis bancarias sistémicas similares. En este trabajo trataremos estos temas y extraeremos una serie de conclusiones relevantes para el estudio.

Sweden has evolved from appalling starting conditions at the end of the 18th century to one of the world's largest and most prosperous nations. The Swedish model - or svenska modellen - is the set of measures at the political-economic level that mark the lines of action for crisis situations in the Nordic country. However, we judge the models by their effectiveness in pressure situations. In the case of Sweden, this situation was the financial crisis of 1991, which shook the Nordic nations to varying degrees. Sweden, under the watchful eye of other international actors, managed to solve this crisis with absolute efficiency. Today, the international community takes Sweden as an example and considers whether this model can be imitated in other nations in the face of similar systemic banking crises. In this paper we will deal with these issues and draw a series of conclusions relevant to the study.
