Afrontamiento psico-emocional en mujeres con cáncer de mama bajo tratamiento con quimioterapia

El Cáncer de Mama es una enfermedad con bastante incidencia en las mujeres que viven en las sociedades civilizadas e industrializadas. Normalmente, el recibir la noticia de tal diagnóstico supone tanto para la paciente como para su familia un terrible drama.
Comienza para estos una etapa de grandes e indeseados cambios a los que no tienen más remedio que adaptarse lo mejor que puedan. Uno de estos cambios que deberán afrontar paciente y familia es el tratamiento con quimioterapia y sus efectos secundarios (debilidad, alopecia, malestar generalizado, nauseas, vómitos, etc).
El objetivo de este proyecto educativo es ayudar a las pacientes a afrontar esta etapa de su vida lo mejor posible, ofreciéndoles opciones para que sean capaces de manejar y reducir el estrés o ansiedad derivados de su proceso.
La razón de querer lograr dicho objetivo es porque existen numerosos estudios que dejan patente una relación directa entre la reducción del estrés o ansiedad y una menor cantidad de efectos secundarios en los tratamientos de quimioterapia. Derivado de lo anterior, la inmunidad de la paciente se verá reforzada y las posibilidades de vencer al Cáncer se verán aumentadas.

Breast tumours are a disease which is quite frequent in women who live in industrializad and civilised societies. As a rule, to get to know the news of such a diagnosis is a horrible tragedy for the patient as well as her family.
So, a period of profound and undesirable changes which must be assumed as best as possible is started. One of the changes that both the patient and her familiy must face is the treatment with chemotherapy and its side-effects (weakeness, alopecia, general physicaldiscomfort, nausea, vomiting, etc).

The aim of this educational project is to help the patients to confront this period of their life as best as possible by providing them different options so that they may be able to manage and cut down both the stress or anxiety, which are an aftermath oftheir process.
The reason to want to achive such a goal is because there are a great deal of investigations which obviously show a straighforward relationship between the decrease of the stress or the anxiety and a reduction of chemotherapy side-effects.
As a consequence of the previous stetemen, the patients immunity will be reinforced and her possibilities of overcoming the tumour will be increased
