La obligación moral del mejoramiento humano: límites y posibilidades

Las tecnologías emergentes proporcionan actualmente la po-sibilidad del mejoramiento humano. En este nuevo contexto tecnológico, aparecen las teorías transhumanistas y posthumanistas que postulan el me-joramiento humano como una obligación moral. La idea central es que, si el hombre puede mejorarse a sí mismo a través de la tecnología, entonces tiene la responsabilidad de hacerlo. En esta investigación replanteamos nueva-mente la cuestión del deber moral del mejoramiento humano e intentamos dar luz al debate desde la perspectiva cristiana

Emerging technologies now provide the possibility for human enhancement. In this new technological context appear the transhumanist and posthumanist theories that postulate human enhancement as a moral obligation. The central idea is that if humans can enhance themselves through technology, then they have the responsibility to do so. In this research, we reconsider the question of the moral obligation of human enhancements and try to shed light on the debate from the Christian perspective
