Master data reshaping proyect.

El proyecto presentado en el siguiente documento, es solo la primera parte de un proyecto más grande. Al formar parte de un proyecto más grande el objetivo principal de este proyecto fue realizar un linaje de datos de una de la tabla de “Customer” para tres aplicaciones diferentes, la de “Sell in”, la de “Sell out” y la de “Customer Relationship management”, que dan servicio al cliente. Después de realizar el linaje de datos, se reflejaron todos aquellos campos que representaran la misma información, y se quedaron recogidos en una misma tabla para poder mostrárselo al cliente. Como resultado del proyecto se entregó una aplicación de Power BI, donde el cliente podía filtrar por diferentes campos, de manera que pudiera ver cualquier campo de las tres aplicaciones, ver de dónde procedía, las transformaciones que había sufrido a lo largo de las diferentes capas de arquitectura y cuál era el nombre que iba a tener, en caso de que asi fuera necesario cambiarlo para la nueva tabla de “Master data”, donde se recogería toda la información que hay en común con las tres aplicaciones. Con este proyecto lo que se pretende es tener un control de los datos y evitar que haya información duplicada para las tres aplicaciones diferentes.

The project presented in the following document represents the first part of a larger project. Being a part of a larger project, the main objective of this phase was to create a data lineage for the "Customer" table across three different applications: "Sell-in," "Sell-out," and "Customer Relationship Management," which serve the customer. The central focus of this project was to establish a comprehensive data lineage for the "Customer" table. The aim was to identify fields that represented the same information and consolidate them into a single table for presentation to the client. Through meticulous data analysis and mapping, a holistic understanding of data flow and relationships was achieved. The project resulted in the delivery of a Power BI application, which allowed the client to filter data using different fields. This provided the client with the ability to view any field from the three applications, understand its source, the transformations it underwent across different architectural layers, and determine the name it would have if changes were necessary for the new "Master Data" table. The "Master Data" table would collect all the information shared among the three applications. The purpose of this project was to establish robust data governance practices, ensuring the prevention of data duplication across the different applications. By implementing a comprehensive data lineage, data integrity was enhanced, and effective data management practices were facilitated, leading to improved decision-making processes.
