El Coordinador/a de Bienestar y protección: implementación y alcance de la figura

El Coordinador/a de Bienestar y Protección es una figura de reciente implantación en España, que surge de la aprobación de la nueva Ley orgánica de Protección Integral de la Infancia y Adolescencia frente a la Violencia (LOPIVI). Desde que se aprobó la LOPIVI hasta que se hubo de designar esta figura en cada centro educativo hubo un lapso de tiempo no solo escaso, sino insuficiente para establecer unos criterios comunes para la implantación de esta figura. Es necesario llevar a cabo un análisis de sus funciones y de las de los profesionales que se venían encargando de la prevención de la violencia, su formación, su papel en la comunidad educativa como agente de protección y su acción coordinada con el resto del equipo.

The Safeguarding Lead is a recently implemented figure in Spain, which has its origin in the new Organic Law for the Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents against Violence (LOPIVI). From the time LOPIVI was approved until this figure had to be designated in every educational center, there was not only a brief, but also an insufficient period of time to establish common criteria for the implementation of this figure. It is necessary to carry out an analysis of its functions and those of the professionals who had been in charge of preventing against violence, also their training, their role in the educational community as agents of protection and their coordinated action with the rest of the team.
