La razón por la que decidí escribir este artículo está relacionada directamente con mis ancestros. Soy descendiente de sudetes alemanes. Mis familiares
tuvieron que abandonar forzosamente Checoslovaquia al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La primera parada fue un campo de refugiados en Baviera a pocos kilómetros de su tierra, después fueron realojados cerca de Dresden. A raíz del inicio de la Guerra Fría y la división de Alemania, la familia emigró nuevamente para asentarse definitivamente en la República Federal de Alemania en 1956. Mi interés se centrará principalmente en explicar la migración forzosa y el proceso de expulsión
de esta minoría étnica y su realojamiento e integración en la República Federal de Alemania después de 1945. También describiré acciones concretas en torno al mantenimiento de su identidad en las últimas décadas y la situación actual de los descendientes de este pueblo que lucha por que su identidad no se diluya del todo.
The reason why I decided to write this article is directly related to my ancestors. I am a descendant of Sudeten German. My family was forced to leave Czechoslovakia at the end of the Second World War.The first stop was a refugee camp in Bavaria, just a few miles across the border, after that they were relocated near Dresden. The town was located in the German Democratic Republic, so finally the family migrated again to settle permanently in the German Federal Republic in 1956. My main interest is to explan the process of expulsion and forced migration of this ethnic minority and its relocation and integration in the GFR. I will also describe concrete actions that have
been taking place along the years for the maintenance of their identity and the current situation of the descendants who are fighting to avoid the dilusion of their identity.
