El propósito de este artí
culo es doble: abrir la teología a
la reflexión «encarnada, situada
y materializada» de la arquitec
tura y que llamo teotopía, y abrir
la arquitectura a su (inherente)
profundidad mistagógica. Al
revelar las dimensiones sinesté
sica, kerigmática y eucarística,
pretendo poner al descubierto
cómo una iglesia es teotopía, es
decir, cómo prepara el terreno
para un encuentro divino en
el Spiritus loci o el Espíritu del
lugar
The purpose of this arti
cle is twofold: to open theology
to
the «embodied, situated,
and materialized» reflection of
architecture that I call theotopy,
and to open architecture to its
(inherent) mystagogical depth.
By revealing the synaesthetic,
kerygmatic, and eucharistic
dimensions, I intend to lay bare
how a church is theotopy, that
is, how it prepares the ground
for a divine encounter in the
Spiritus loci or the Spirit of the
place.
