Sistema de picking de palés para un robot industrial equipado con una cámara RGB-D

Partiendo de un sistema de visión artificial capaz de detectar piezas de LEGO y extraer características de las mismas, se va a implantar dicho sistema en un robot industrial ABB IRB120 instalado en la mini-fábrica de ICAI con el fin de capacitarlo con la habilidad para montar varias figuras de LEGO en el área de trabajo próxima al robot. La figura que se construirá será escogida por el operario a partir de dos propuestas y serán montadas por el brazo robótico a partir de piezas que reconocerá y recolectará de palés que se moverán por cintas transportadoras dentro de la región de trabajo del robot y que gestionará él mismo.

Based on an artificial vision system capable of detecting LEGO pieces and extracting characteristics from them, this system will be implemented in an ABB IRB120 industrial robot installed in ICAI's mini-factory in order to provide it with the ability to assemble several LEGO figures in the working area next to the robot. The figure to be built will be chosen by the operator from two proposals and will be assembled by the robotic arm from pieces that it will recognize and collect from pallets that will be moved by conveyor belts within the robot's working region that will be managed by the robot itself.
