El comienzo del libro del Deuteronomio evoca Ex 14 y subraya que Israel, tal como sucedió al cruzar el Mar Rojo, puede cruzar el Jordán y dar un paso adelante entrando en la tierra prometida. Ello puede significar su conversión definitiva, su confesión amorosa y llena de veneración de que Dios ha realizado grandes obras por él, entregándole la tierra.
The beginning of the book of Deuteronomy evokes Exodus 14 and underlines that Israel can go across the Jordan and enter into the promised land in the same way as he did while crossing the Death Sea. This might enable Israel to achieve its definitive conversion and its loving confession on God s great deeds and on God s giving the promised land to his people
