Planejamento da parentalidade: Estudos nas interfaces entre bioética e teologia

El tema tratado en este libro se inserta en el contexto de la Planificación Familiar, sin embargo, se entiende que “planificación de la parentalidad” expresa mejor la complejidad de los temas abordados, ya que planificar la parentalidad incluye “familia”, con diversas configuraciones, incluye “tener hijos” e incluye, muchas veces, “planificar un embarazo”.

Se propone que ‘ser padre y/o madre’ – ya sea por reproducción natural, reproducción asistida o adopción – es colocarse en una condición generadora y compartidora de alteridad. Es parte de esta condición: establecer relaciones definitivas e irrevocables con el/la hijo/a; ser el elemento fundamental en la construcción de la identidad de este nuevo ser; asumir cuidados y funciones proveedoras relacionadas con su integridad y supervivencia; desempeñar roles relacionados con su inserción social y cultural. Planificar la parentalidad implica dar énfasis al bienestar de la prole. Y aquí “planificar tener hijos” no es suficiente, es necesario planificar “ser padre/madre”. Y es pensando en el bienestar de los niños que podremos encontrar las motivaciones para superar las discriminaciones frente a los diversos modelos de parentalidad.

The topic discussed in this book is placed within the context of Family Planning; however, it is understood that “parenthood planning” better expresses the complexity of the themes addressed, as planning parenthood includes “family,” with various configurations, includes “having children,” and often includes “planning a pregnancy.”

It is proposed that ‘being a father and/or mother’ – through natural reproduction, assisted reproduction, or adoption – is to place oneself in a generative and sharing condition of alterity. Part of this condition is: establishing definitive and irrevocable relationships with the child; being the founding element in the construction of the identity of this new being; assuming care and provider roles related to their integrity and survival; and playing roles related to their social and cultural insertion. Planning parenthood implies emphasizing the well-being of the offspring. And here, “planning to have children” is not enough, it is necessary to plan “to be a father/mother.” And it is by considering the well-being of children that we can find the motivations to overcome discrimination against various models of parenthood.
