Neuropsicología infantil y educación. INTERVENCIÓN CLÍNICA EN TDA-H: Enfoque neuropsicológico

La Neuropsicología Infantil es la ciencia que se encarga del estudio del desarrollo del cerebro de los seres humanos en los primeros años de vida. Será fundamental para la evaluación y la rehabilitación de aquellas funciones cognitivas que se hayan visto dañadas por algún tipo de problema cerebral. Dentro del campo de estudio de esta ciencia, las Dificultades de Aprendizaje son un tema bastante frecuente. Algunas de estas dificultades vienen ocasionadas por un trastorno neurológico, como es el caso de Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDA-H). Se trata de un problema del desarrollo neurológico, que va a afectar a todos los ámbitos de la vida del niño, tanto a nivel personal, como social y conductual. Será necesario trabajar a través de una intervención global. En el colegio se realizará una intervención pedagógica, que conllevará compensaciones curriculares y apoyos de los problemas educativos que pueda presentar un niño con TDAH. En la intervención cognitiva se realizará una evaluación de sus funciones cognitivas para poder realizar programas de rehabilitación específicos. Y por último, se realizará una intervención socio-emocional, donde el paciente aprenderá a reconocer y manejar las emociones suyas y del entorno, y se le darán herramientas para mejorar sus habilidades sociales.

It will be essential for the evaluation and rehabilitation of those cognitive functions that have been damaged by some type of brain problem. Within the field of study of this science, Learning Difficulties are a fairly frequent topic. Some of these difficulties are caused by a neurological disorder, as in the case of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It is a problem of neurological development, which will affect all areas of the child's life, both on a personal, social and behavioral level. It will be necessary to work through a global intervention. At school, a pedagogical intervention will be carried out, which will involve curricular compensations and support of the educational problems that the child with ADHD may present. In the cognitive intervention, an evaluation of their cognitive functions will be carried out in order to execute specific rehabilitation programs. And finally, there will be a socio-emotional intervention, where the patient will learn to recognize and manage their emotions and the environment and will be given tools to improve their social skills.
