La traducción de la terminología sobre amenazas a la ciberseguridad en textos de la UE

En esta investigación, se llevará a cabo un análisis traductológico de diferentes ciberamenazas que pueden poner en riesgo la seguridad tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. Estos términos han sido extraídos de documentos oficiales publicados en instituciones europeas, en concreto, de la Comisión Europea y el Parlamento Europeo. En primer lugar, se explicará en qué consiste la ciberseguridad y por qué debemos confiar en ella para posteriormente explicar más detenidamente qué es una ciberamenaza y las diferentes categorías en las que se agrupan, sus técnicas y origen. Puesto que este trabajo se refiere no solamente a la terminología sino también a la traducción institucional, se detallará su función y por qué se han elegido estas dos instituciones. Se abordará también la metodología de análisis empleada y se compararán los términos que aparecen en inglés y en español para saber cómo se ha traducido.

In this research, we will carry out a translational analysis of different cyber threats, which may endanger security both nationally and internationally. These terms have been extracted from official documents published by the European institutions, specifically, for this work, from the Commission and the European Parliament. First, it will explain what cybersecurity is and why we should trust it, and then it will explain in more detail what a cyber threat is and the different categories in which it is grouped, their techniques and their origin. Since this work involves not only terminology but also institutional translation, it will be explained in broad terms what they do and why these two institutions were chosen. The analysis methodology used will also be discussed and the language used in English and Spanish will be compared to see how they have been translated.
