La influencia de la guerra de los balcanes en la formación de identidades

Mediante este trabajo, realizamos un recorrido sobre los elementos históricos, culturales, políticos y bélicos que llevan a crear en la zona de los Balcanes identidades muy diferentes. Los Balcanes han sido siempre uno de los lugares más conflictivos del mundo, y a pesar del intento de creación de un estado plural compuesto por diversas naciones, Yugoslavia no logró mantener el equilibrio étnico esperado. Serbia, Croacia, Montenegro, Eslovenia, Macedonia y Bosnia-Herzegovina se agregan en un estado con importantes minorías étnicas y religiosas que jugarán un papel muy importante en la formación de sentimientos nacionales. Finalmente, en este trabajo de investigación se pretende analizar como la progresiva descentralización del poder para evitar reivindicaciones nacionalistas terminó reviviéndolas.

Through this work, we aim to create a framework of the historical, cultural, political and military elements that lead to the creation of very different identities in the Balkan area. The Balkans have proven to be one of the most conflictive regions of the twentieth century, and despite the attempt to create a plural state composed of various nations, Yugoslavia failed to maintain the expected ethnic balance. Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are encompassed in a state with important ethnic and religious minorities that will play a very important role in the formation of national sentiments. Specifically, this research work is intended to analyze how the state of war increases patriotic passions and how these ideas ended, in the Balkan area, and more specifically in Bosnia, resulting in crimes against humanity and genocide that included mass shootings and sexual abuses. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of mass rapes in Bosnia as a strategy of ethnic cleansing, resulting from nationalist movements.
