HISTORIA DE VENEZUELA EL CHAVISMO: NACIMIENTO Y ARRAIGO DE UNA TRANSGRESORA CORRIENTE IDEOLÓGICA

Análisis histórico de la corriente ideológica que se formó a finales del siglo XX en torno a la figura del teniente coronel y luego presidente venezolano, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías. Este trabajo pretende hacer un recorrido a lo largo de la historia de Venezuela, desde su nacimiento como país independiente en 1811 hasta la muerte del general Chávez en 2013, abstrayendo una imagen global acerca del país, de su bagaje político-económico y de su estructura social, con el fin de averiguar la posibles razones que llevaron al pueblo venezolano a votar democrática y continuadamente por una figura política tan transgresora.

En conjunto con el análisis histórico, se efectuará también un estudio sobre esta corriente ideológica, el chavismo, de origen bolivariano pero derivada de la propia personalidad y carisma del general, con el fin de establecer su impacto como “germen” del nuevo socialismo en la región de América Latina. Se finalizará con una breve observación acerca de si se puede considerar que esta corriente continuó tras el fallecimiento del general, con la actual presidencia de Nicolás Maduro, o si, por el contrario, murió cuando su elemento carismático así lo hizo.

Historical analysis of the ideological current that was formed at the end of the 20th century around the figure of the lieutenant colonel and then Venezuelan president, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías. This work aims to make a journey through the history of Venezuela, from its birth as an independent country in 1811 until the death of General Chavez in 2013, abstracting a global image about the country, its political-economic background and its social structure, in order to find out the possible reasons that led the Venezuelan people to vote democratically and continuously for such a transgressive political figure.

In conjunction with the historical analysis, a study will also be carried out on this ideological current, Chavismo, of Bolivarian origin but derived from the general's own personality and charisma, in order to establish its impact as the "seed" of the new socialism in the Latin American region. It will end with a brief observation as to whether this current can be considered to have continued after the general's death, with the current presidency of Nicolás Maduro, or if, on the contrary, it died when its charismatic element did.
