Experiencia religiosa y Laudato si'

La encíclica Laudato si' representa la maduración del pensamiento social católico sobre ecología y su contribución operativa al foro interdisciplinar de la sostenibili- dad. La creciente implicación religiosa en los complejos debates socio-ambientales contemporáneos se debe a múltiples factores que legitiman la intervención con- fesional. En el caso de la Iglesia, siete dimensiones estructurales de la experiencia espiritual cristiana profética, ascética, sacramental, mística, sapiencial, eclesial y escatológica ofrecen tanto claves de lectura de LS como sugerencias para la ac- ción social católica. La articulación de estos elementos permite esbozar los rasgos de distintivos del ethos medioambiental católico.

The encyclical Laudato si' represents the maturation of Catholic social thought on ecology and its operational contribution to the interdisciplinary forum of sustainability. The growing religious involvement in complex contemporary socio-environmental debates is due to multiple factors that legitimize the involvement of religious traditions. In the case of the Church, seven structural dimensions of the Christian spiritual experience - prophetic, ascetic, sacramental, mystical, sapiential, ecclesial and eschatological - offer both keys to reading the LS and suggestions for Catholic social action. The articulation of these elements makes it possible to outline the distinguishing features of the Catholic environmental ethos.
