Estudio de la sobredimensión del terrorismo yihadista a través del periodismo internacional: hacia un mejor tratamiento del fenómeno

Este estudio pretende analizar el terrorismo yihadista a través de la selección de doce atentados concretos en un periodo de dos años y su pertinente tratamiento en dos medios de comunicación pertenecientes a dos países diferentes, España y Francia. El tratamiento diferente que se le da a los atentados dependiendo de si son o no producidos en algún Estado perteneciente a la Unión Europea trae consigo diversas implicaciones. Estas implicaciones serán estudiadas, mientras que a su vez se pretenderá dar recomendaciones sobre qué usos del término deberían cambiarse para lograr así reducir la sobredimensión de un suceso que, aunque amenazante, carece de la total importancia que se le pretende dar hoy en día en suelo europeo si se compara con las implicaciones que tiene en otros países de Oriente Medio.

This study aims to analyse jihadist terrorism through the selection of twelve specific attacks in a period of two years and its relevant treatment in two media outlets belonging to two different countries, Spain and France. The different treatment that is given to the attacks depending on whether or not they are produced in a State belonging to the European Union brings with its various implications. These implications will be studied, while at the same time it will try to give recommendations on what uses of the term should be changed in order to reduce the oversize of an event that, although threatening, lacks the total importance that it is intended to give today in soil European Union if compared to the implications it has in other countries in the Middle East.
