Diez años de estudios comparados entre humanos y otros animales: análisis y tendencias

El ser humano siempre ha vivido en un intento constante de conocerse a sí mismo, ya desde la teoría antropomórfica pasando por el lamarckismo, el darwinismo y hasta hoy en día tanto en el ámbito científico como en el ámbito psicológico. En nuestro trabajo nos centraremos en las tendencias de estudio en las ramas de la psicología comparada y la psicología evolucionista, las cuales asumen que las características propias del ser humano son fruto de una evolución adaptativa y, por ello, apoyan su metodología de estudio en la exploración de otras especies. Creemos que dentro de estas ramas pueden haber ciertas tendencias de estudio que nos podrían aportar una información interesante y un mayor conocimiento sobre la naturaleza de la especie humana y sobre cómo su forma de estudiarse a sí mismo se podría verse influida por factores situacionales, temporales o culturales. Mediante la revisión, exploración, y recogida de datos de un intervalo de diez años de publicaciones de las revistas “Animal cognition” y “Journal of comparative psychology” pretendemos llegar a una conclusión que apoye nuestra hispótesis inicial y así quizás poder predecir hacia dónde se dirigirá el foco de estudio dentro de estas ramas en un futuro próximo.

The human being has always lived in a constant attempt to know himself, from anthropomorphic theory through Lamarckism, Darwinism and even today in the scientific field and in the psychological field. In our work we will focus on the trends of study in the branches of comparative psychology and evolutionary psychology, which assume that the characteristics of the human being are the result of an adaptive evolution and, therefore, support their methodology of study in the exploration of other species. We believe that within these branches there may be certain study tendencies that could provide us with interesting information and a greater knowledge about the nature of the human species and about how its way of studying itself could be influenced by situational, temporal or cultural Through the review, exploration, and data collection of a ten-year interval of publications of the journals "Animal cognition" and "Journal of comparative psychology" we intend to reach a conclusion that supports our initial hypothesis and thus perhaps be able to predict the direction of the focus of study within these branches in the near future.
