El siguiente proyecto consiste en la creación de una nueva infraestructura de datos para el equipo de “third-party expansión” de Amazon EU. Esta infraestructura buscará reducir el tiempo semanal requerido para la obtención de información relativa al rendimiento del mercado y aumentar la utilidad de los datos. Para este propósito, se crearán cuatro tablas, dos para monitorizar el mercado antes de abrir un nuevo Marketplace y dos para estudiar su funcionamiento durante sus primeras etapas.
The following project consists of the creation of a new data infrastructure for the needs of the third-party expansion team at Amazon EU. This infrastructure´s aim is the reduction of the weekly running time for gathering the information of the marketplace´s performance and the increment of the utilization of this data. For this purpose, four different tables will be created, two for monitoring the market on the pre-launch stage and two for the same purpose on the post-launch stage.
The pre-launch tables will be responsible for obtaining the product´s exportability, this is, which of the products that Amazon is selling in old marketplaces can be sold in the target one by existing selling partners. Additionally, this two tables will offer information on the probability that a selling partners has of launching to a new marketplace.
The post-launch tables´ use is to understand the behavior of the marketplace during it´s early-stages. This will be done at two levels, the selling partner level, looking for the generated revenue, the offered products and its relevance and how the seller was initially recruited between others, and the product level, looking for the type of product or product family, the perception that the client has of it and the revenue generated by it for each selling partner.
