Its inclusion has implied the need for companies to incorporate a compliance program that ensures the company's ethical commitment. However, there is still a long way to go before getting a proper regulation of the requirements that compliance programs must comply with.
Little by little, Compliance begins to be reflected in the public procurement as a result of European Union directives and the new laws on administrative procedure. Compliance programs are now presented as a possible exemption from the prohibition of contracting with the Public Administration and in the future, they would surely be also a requirement for access to public procurement.
