Autoexploración mamaria: conoce tu cuerpo y lucha contra el cáncer

El cáncer de mama es una patología muy extendida mundialmente que afecta a cualquier estatus social. En el documento se hace una introducción con la fisiopatología y epidemiología de esta enfermedad. A raíz de la epidemiología se aprecia la importancia que tiene la prevención y detección precoz, por lo que se describen factores de riesgo, hábitos de vida saludables junto con otros métodos de prevención y se describen las técnicas de detección precoz. De todas estas, el proyecto educativo que se plantea, se centra en la autoexploración. Los motivos de este enfoque son que es un recurso accesible y eficaz, ayuda a la mujer a conocerse a sí misma y en España no se imparten talleres con este contenido. En las sesiones las mujeres tendrán contenido teórico, práctico y se tratará el campo emocional (lo que supone el cáncer, conocer el propio cuerpo, miedo a detectar algo).

Breast cancer is a widespread disease that worldwide affects any social status. The paper provides an introduction to the pathophysiology and epidemiology of this disease. Following epidemiology appreciates the importance of prevention and early detection, so risk factors, healthy lifestyles along with other methods of prevention and early detection techniques are described. Of these, the educational project that arises, focuses on self-exploration. The reasons for this approach are that it is an affordable and effective remedy, helps women to know themselves and in Spain workshops aren`t made with this content. In sessions women have theoretical and practical content but the emotional field will also be discussed (which is cancer, knowing the own body, fear of what can be detected).
