Análisis del papel del intérprete en las Organizaciones internacionales del período de entreguerras

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el papel del intérprete en las organizaciones internacionales del periodo de entreguerras (1918-1939). En concreto, los sujetos del estudio han sido los intérpretes de la Conferencia de Paz de París, la Sociedad de Naciones y la Organización Internacional del Trabajo. Para llevar a cabo el análisis, se han examinado la profesionalidad y la ética, así como las emociones de los primeros intérpretes de conferencias. Asimismo, para esta investigación se han empleado distintos indicadores (memorias de los intérpretes, testimonios de figuras de autoridad y obras de referencia) con el fin de obtener conclusiones.

The aim of this research is to analyse the role of the interpreter in the international organisations of the interwar period (1918-1939). Specifically, the subjects of the study were the interpreters of the Paris Peace Conference, the League of Nations and the International Labour Organisation. The analysis examined the professionalism and ethics as well as the emotions of early conference interpreters. In addition, various indicators (interpreters' memoirs, testimonies of authority figures and reference works) were used to draw conclusions.
