Archivo del Patrimonio de Arte Psicológico. Centro San Juan de Dios de Ciempozuelos

El Archivo del Patrimonio de Arte Psicológico se ubica en el Centro San Juan de Dios de Ciempozuelos. Su origen está en la terapia de rehabilitación que generó en algunos casos, diversas expresiones plásticas que progresivamente han ido conformando un universo artístico que es el origen del planteamiento para generar un espacio de arte psicopatológico, y que ahora denominamos más adecuadamente arte psicológico.
Se recogen en él la pintura realizada, como terapia, por los propios pacientes, incluyendo el arte generado por artistas que ingresan en la Institución y algunas piezas de carácter religioso, antiguos muebles y utensilios que se empleaban en los siglos XIX y .XX en el Centro.
A partir de 2020 se dispone de un nuevo espacio organizado con criterios archivísticos y museísticos para facilitar la interpretación de manifestaciones artísticas creadas por personas con enfermedad mental, sea cual sea su expresión. Al mismo tiempo desea ser ocasión para romper con el estigma de la enfermedad mental, a través del arte, que es la expresión más profunda del ser humano.
Es preciso destacar la Moneda de uso interno y con finalidad terapéutica, que puso en marcha el Hermano Andrés Ayúcar, Superior Provincial en 1907, en Ciempozuelos.
Según los enfoques modernos de los archivos y museos se desea implicar a los espectadores como actores. Por lo tanto se va a procurar el acceso a diferentes públicos/ profesionales o Entidades.
