En los dos últimos años, la nueva alternativa de salidas a bolsa en el mercado llamada SPACs (Special Purpose Adquisition Companies) ha adquirido gran popularidad. La posible alternativa que ha sido introducida en el mercado ha sido revolucionaria, sin embargo, debido a los momentos de incertidumbre en la economía está siendo de gran dificultad saber si este método, las SPACs, sigue siendo una opción para tener en cuenta por los bancos y los fondos de inversión. La alternativa a la tradicional IPO ha sido un descubrimiento que todavía está siendo objeto de investigación en respecto a su rentabilidad. En las próximas paginas analizaremos el funcionamiento de las SPACs y de las IPO, sus ventajas, sus desventajas, y valoraremos la opción de que sea un posible sustituto del método tradicional de OPA's.

In the last two years, the new alternative of going public in the market called SPACs (Special Purpose Acquisition Companies) has become very popular. The possible alternative that has been introduced to the market has been revolutionary, however, due to the uncertain times in the economy it is becoming very difficult to know if this method, SPACs, is still an option for banks and investment funds to consider. The alternative to the traditional IPO has been a discovery that is still under investigation as to its profitability. In the following pages we will analyze how SPACs and IPOs work, their advantages, their disadvantages, and we will evaluate the option of it being a possible substitute for the traditional IPO method.
