Técnica de alta velocidad y baja amplitud aplicada sobre la ATM en el tratamiento del vértigo en pacientes con bruxismo

Objetivo
Valorar la eficacia del tratamiento convencional combinado con la técnica de alta velocidad y baja amplitud de la articulación temporomandibular frente al tratamiento convencional en pacientes con vértigo y bruxismo.
Metodología
Se ha diseñado un estudio analítico, experimental, longitudinal, prospectivo y aleatorio. La muestra del estudio está formada por un total de 72 sujetos cuyo diagnóstico médico es bruxismo y vértigo. Los sujetos serán asignados de manera aleatoria en dos grupos de 36 sujetos en cada uno. El grupo control recibe el tratamiento convencional y el grupo experimental recibe el tratamiento convencional junto con la técnica de alta velocidad y baja amplitud aplicada sobre la articulación temporomandibular.
Se llevan a cabo dos mediciones, una antes y otra después de la intervención. En dichas mediciones se valora la calidad de vida del paciente, el ROM de la apertura mandibular y el dolor durante la masticación.
Por último, se realizará un análisis de los resultados con el programa SPSS Stadistics.

Background
The technique of high speed and low amplitude applied on the TMJ in the treatment of vertigo in patients with bruxism
Objective
The objetive of this proyect is the assess of the efficacy of conventional treatment combined with the technique of high speed and low amplitude of the temporomandibular joint versus conventional treatment in patients with vertigo and bruxism.
Methology
An analytical, experimental, longitudinal, prospective and aleatory. The sample of the study it is formed of 72 subjects whose medical diagnosis is bruxism and vertig. The subjects were randomly assigned in two groups of 36 subjects each. The control group (conventional treatment) and the experimental group (conventional treartment and the technique of high speed and low amplitude of the TMJ).
There are two measurements, one before the intervention and another at the end of it. In those measurements the quality of life of the patient, the ROM of the mandibular opening and the pain during chewing are evaluated.
At the end, the análisis of the results was carried out by the SPSS Statistics programme.
