Supply chain efficiency and transport management for the transfer of an automotive JIS plant.

El presente documento recoge las líneas de acción tomadas en el ámbito de la logística externa en la transferencia productiva entre dos plantas proveedoras de una marca automovilística. Estas plantas proveedoras pertenecen a Grupo Antolín – Irausa S.A. (GA) que surten al productor automovilístico Jaguar Land- Rover (JLR).

La principal motivación y justificación de este estudio es el comienzo del nuevo proyecto para el nuevo modelo Evoque 2018 (L551) que se lanzará al mercado en diciembre de este mismo año y del cual GA Speke fue seleccionado como principal proveedor tanto de techos como puertas que sustituirá al Land Rover Evoque 2014. Para suplir esta nueva demanda, la adición de nuevas líneas de producción y necesidades logísticas, hacen fuertemente necesaria una nueva localización. La propuesta de GA ha sido una nueva planta situada al norte de la ciudad de Liverpool, en Huyton. Este cambio de planta servirá también para aprovechar para realizar cambios productivos y logísticos que permitan aumentar la eficiencia de la planta y potencien el valor añadido que la compañía puede ofrecer a su cliente frente a la competencia. En concreto, en este trabajo, se estudiarán tres líneas generales: La logística externa hacia cliente, la parte productiva de la planta y la logística externa hacia proveedores.

This document sets out the acction plan taken in the field of external logistics in the transfer of production between two plants supplying an automobile brand. These supply plants belong to Grupo Antolín - Irausa S.A. (GA) that supply the car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

The main motivation and justification for this study is the start of the new project for the new model Evoque 2018 (L551) which will be launched on the market in December of this year and from which GA Speke was selected as the main supplier of both headliners and doors to replace the Land Rover Evoque 2014 model. In order to meet this new demand, the addition of new production lines and logistics needs, a new location is strongly needed. GA's proposal was a new plant located in the north of the city of Liverpool, in Huyton. This change of plant will also be used to make productive and logistical changes that will increase the efficiency of the plant and enhance the added value that the company can offer its customers against the competition. Specifically, in this work, three general lines will be studied: External logistics towards the customer, the productive part of the plant and external logistics towards suppliers.
