New Role and Opportunities for EVs in the Electricity System

El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido, en primer lugar, estudiar el ambiente que rodea la figura del vehículo eléctrico y el agregador, para entender su importancia y proyección para los próximos años en el sistema eléctrico.
Tras esto, se ha estudiado con datos reales las posibilidades de flexibilidad que ofrecen los vehículos eléctricos, realizando una clusterización e identificando patrones de comportamiento.
Por último se ha realizado una optimización de los costes para el agregador de la compra de la energía necesaria para la carga de estos vehículos eléctricos, cuantificando el potencial de flexibilidad de cada uno de los grupos de comportamiento identificados.

The aim of this work has been, firstly, to study the environment surrounding the figure of the electric vehicle and the aggregator, in order to understand its importance and projection for the coming years in the electricity system.
After this, the possibilities of flexibility offered by electric vehicles have been studied with real data, carrying out a clustering and identifying behavioural patterns.
Finally, an optimisation of the costs for the aggregator of purchasing the energy necessary to charge these electric vehicles has been carried out, quantifying the flexibility potential of each of the identified behavioural groups.
