INTERRELACIÓN ENTRE LA COMUNICACIÓN Y LA INTEGRACIÓN SENSORIAL EN ALUMNOS CON TEA EN LA ETAPA DE EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA.

El Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) se sitúa en el foco de numerosas investigaciones contemporáneas. En paralelo, la integración sensorial figura como una de las intervenciones más frecuentemente empleadas por los terapeutas ocupacionales en el tratamiento de niños afectados por el TEA. Con el propósito de explorar la conexión entre ambos conceptos y analizar la influencia mutua, se plantea llevar a cabo una revisión bibliográfica que examine la interrelación entre esta modalidad terapéutica y el mencionado trastorno. Se pretende abordar cómo esta intervención incide en el desarrollo del lenguaje, así como en la habilidad comunicativa, tanto verbal como no verbal, de los niños diagnosticados con TEA.

Este documento presenta un análisis detallado de las características inherentes a cada concepto, abordando las diversas modalidades terapéuticas empleadas. Asimismo, se examinan las investigaciones llevadas a cabo en este ámbito y se presentan los resultados obtenidos como parte integral de la evaluación exhaustiva realizada en este estudio.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is the focus of much contemporary research. In parallel, sensory integration is one of the most frequently used interventions by occupational therapists in the treatment of children affected by ASD. With the purpose of exploring the connection between both concepts and analyzing the mutual influence, it is proposed to carry out a literature review that examines the interrelation between this therapeutic modality and the aforementioned disorder. The aim is to address how this intervention affects language development, as well as the verbal and non-verbal communication skills of children diagnosed with ASD.

This paper presents a detailed analysis of the characteristics inherent to each concept, addressing the various therapeutic modalities employed. It also reviews the research conducted in this area and presents the results obtained as an integral part of the comprehensive evaluation conducted in this study.
