Enfermedad celíaca en adultos

La enfermedad celíaca, es una enfermedad cada vez más frecuente en la población, incurable, crónica y con un alto carácter genético, de investigación reciente. Dicha enfermedad se caracteriza por una inflamación anormal de la mucosa intestinal junto con una intolerancia irreversible al gluten; afecta a muchos y distintos aspectos de la vida de los pacientes limitando sus actividades de la vida diaria. Existe un gran desconocimiento de la enfermedad y pautas a seguir en la dieta por parte de la población, por ello, toman gran importancia los proyectos de información y sensibilización de la enfermedad a personas cercanas, para lograr una integración total de los celíacos en la sociedad; aunque aún falta mucho por hacer.

Celiac disease is an increasingly prevalent disease in the population, incurable, chronic and high genetic and recent research. This disease is characterized by abnormal inflammation of the intestinal mucosa with gluten intolerance irreversible; affects many different aspects of life of patients by limiting their activities of daily living. There is great ignorance of the disease and guidelines to follow in the diet of the population therefore take very important project information and awareness of the disease to people nearby, to achieve full integration in society celiac; but much remains to be done.
