DISEÑO DE UNA STARTUP ENFOCADA EN EL SECTOR INMOBILIARIO

Este proyecto consiste en el diseño de Renteaser, la primera plataforma de alquiler y mantenimiento de electrodomésticos, comprometida con el medio ambiente. El proyecto abarcará el proceso de ideación y validación, así como del desarrollo del plan de negocio y del producto mínimo viable, empleando para ello las técnicas de lean startup y design thinking. Actualmente, vivimos en una revolución de sustitución de activos por servicios. Las personas alquilan más y compran menos. Este profundo cambio de tendencias ya se ve reflejado en la sustitución de algunos de los principales activos que compran empresas y familias, como viviendas, automóviles o tecnología. Por ejemplo, la vivienda en alquiler ha subido un 30% en los últimos 10 años, y el renting de vehículos un 10% en los últimos 4 años. En este cambio de tendencia hay un activo que todavía no ha pasado a ser sustituido por un servicio, pero que experimenta unas condiciones idóneas para poder sufrir esta transformación: los electrodomésticos. Si bien esta oportunidad existe para el conjunto de las viviendas, aquellas en alquiler representan una oportunidad especialmente interesante por dos razones: la ausencia de claridad legislativa sobre quién es el responsable de su reparación o sustitución, y el capital “atrapado” y no aprovechado, es decir, el capital invertido en electrodomésticos del que no se obtiene ninguna rentabilidad. En esta tesitura, y una vez explicado la tendencia que sigue el mundo y los problemas a los que se enfrentan las viviendas de alquiler, es donde nace Renteaser.

This project consists of the design of Renteaser, the first platform for rental and maintenance of household appliances, committed to the environment. The project will cover the ideation and validation process, as well as the development of the business plan and the minimum viable product, using lean startup and design thinking techniques. We are currently living in a revolution of replacing assets with services. People are renting more and buying less. This profound change in trends is already reflected in the substitution of some of the main assets purchased by companies and families, such as housing, cars, and technology. For example, rental housing has risen by 30% in the last 10 years, and car leasing by 10% in the last 4 years. In this change of trend, there is one asset that has not yet been replaced by a service, but which is experiencing ideal conditions to be able to undergo this transformation: household appliances. Although this opportunity exists for all homes, rental homes represent a particularly interesting opportunity for two reasons: the lack of legislative clarity as to who is responsible for their repair or replacement, and the capital "trapped" and not used, i.e., the capital invested in appliances from which no return is obtained. In this situation, and once explained the trend that the world is following and the problems faced by rental housing, is where Renteaser is born.
