Análisis comparativo de sustantividad entre la tercera y cuarta ola feminista

El feminismo (o feminismos) debe ser entendido a través de una característica dualidad, a saber, teoría y movimiento. Si bien ciertas olas feministas inciden en mayor grado en desarrollar o criticar conceptos, otras olas se centran en impulsar la movilización. La cuarta ola feminista ha llegado como una ola reactiva que exige movimiento y acción. Feministas reputadas de nuestro país como Celia Amorós o Amelia Valcárcel señalan la aparición de Internet como criterio de cambio entre la tercera y la cuarta ola. Internet y las redes sociales han restructurado nuestra sociedad, favoreciendo el desarrollo de diversos movimientos sociales cuyo sustento fundamental son los valores y las ideologías. El feminismo se ha servido de las nuevas tecnologías no sólo para llevar a cabo su expansión y reclutamiento, pero también su comunicación. Gracias a las comunidades virtuales las mujeres han podido comunicarse entre ellas, compartiendo tanto sus experiencias e inquietudes como sus intereses de una manera más fácil y rápida. Encontramos ejemplos actuales como el movimiento #Metoo que permitió la unión entre mujeres de distintos lugares del mundo en una lucha que es común: acabar con el acoso y la agresión sexual, confiando ya no sólo en los tribunales sino en una represión que parece posicionarse como un castigo peor: la acusación pública y viral

Feminism must be studied through the dualist view which characterizes it: as a theory and as a movement. Amongst the different feminist waves society has encountered, some of them focus on developing or criticizing concepts, whilst others concentrate their efforts in promoting mobilization. The fourth wave, nevertheless, has declared itself as a reactive wave in which action has become a must. Famous Spanish feminists, such as Celia Amorós and Amelia Valcárcel, point out that Internet has been the key of the transition between the third and the fourth wave. Both Internet and social networks have undoubtably restructured society, favoring the development of several social movements whose main support are their core values and ideologies. Feminism has exploited new technologies not only to expand and recruit new members, but also to communicate. Virtual communities have given women the possibility to communicate between them, allowing to share their experiences and concerns, as well as their interests, in a more simple, fast and easy way. We can find several examples which are latent in the present, as the #Metoo movement, which helped woman all over the world fight for a common motive: end with sexual harassment and sexual assault not only through sentences in courts, but mainly through a repression which appears to be even worse: public and viral accusation.
