Situación de los derechos del colectivo LGTBI en el cono sur latinoamericano. Identificación de factores expansivos y contractivos

Los movimientos LGTBI en el mundo actual son unos de los derechos humanos que están más a la orden del día y que generan controversias por todo el mundo. Concretamente en América Latina, estos derechos sociales son un fenómeno rompedor que ha cambiado de manera radical la política latinoamericana y los poderes establecidos en la región (por ejemplo, la influencia de la religión). En este continente asistimos a una dicotomía con unos avances por un lado y un estancamiento por otro muy característico, ya que no se produce en ninguna otra región del mundo. Estos procesos transformadores, son consecuencia de diferentes motivaciones las cuales están relacionadas con la globalización, la economía, la religión y la política.

LGBT movements are currently one of the most important human rights which are increasingly entering the political speeches and the moral debate between the citizens. Specifically, in Latin America, this social rights, are a new phenomenon which break the current status in terms of social justice and bring a lot of controversy to the public opinion. Furthermore, these rights have changed the politics in Latin America and the power actors in question. For example, the power of religion, specifically the Catholic Church and the Evangelic Church. In this region of the world, we see a dichotomy in which on the one side, there are huge advancements but on the other there is a stagnation on the development on these rights. This is very characteristic of the South American region. These transforming processes are the consequence of different motivations which are related to globalization, economy, religion and politics.
