Este trabajo pretende realizar un estudio sobre la viabilidad de establecer un sistema de Bed & Breakfast hospedado por personas mayores de 65 años en la ciudad de Madrid. El objetivo de este estudio consiste en encontrar una fuente de ingresos complementaria para este segmento, pues el sistema de pensiones español se encuentra en decadencia. Para ello, se analizan las principales tendencias demográficas, inmobiliarias y sobre las pensiones, que afectan tanto a España como a Madrid – foco de este estudio – para asegurar la viabilidad del modelo en los próximos años. Este artículo demuestra que la aplicación de este Bed & Breakfast es factible, pues responde tanto a situación actual como a la necesidad de encontrar nuevas fuentes de financiación para los séniores. En conclusión, se trata de una propuesta que ayuda a solventar el problema de las pensiones y la dificultad que tienen ciertos segmentos para hospedarse en la capital.

This paper aims to conduct a study on the feasibility of establishing a Bed & Breakfast system hosted by people over 65 years old in the city of Madrid. The objective of this study is to find a complementary source of income for this segment, since the Spanish pension system is in decline. To this end, the main demographic, real estate and pension trends affecting both Spain and Madrid – the focus of this study – are analyzed, in order to ensure the viability of the model in the coming years. This article demonstrates that the application of this Bed & Breakfast is feasible, as it responds both to the current situation and to the need to find new sources of financing for seniors. In conclusion, it is a proposal that helps to solve the problem of pensions and the difficulty that certain segments have to stay in the capital.
