"Mujer ¿por qué lloras?" (Jn 20,13). El rostro de María Magdalena en los textos evangélicos

Si hay un personaje bíblico cuya percepción ha variado en las últimas décadas, sin duda este es María Magdalena. Aunque el imaginario popular siga considerándola una prostituta convertida, el regreso a los textos bíblicos ha devuelto a esta mujer el papel relevante que juega en los inicios del cristianismo. Los textos que la mencionan explícitamente se enmarcan en tres escenarios: la cruz, el sepulcro y los relatos de resurrección. Este artículo pretende volver la mirada a estos pasajes evangélicos para perfilar los rasgos del rostro que en ellos se dibujan.

If there is a Biblical person whose image has changed drastically in the last decades, this is, without a doubt, Mary of Magdala. She is still commonly seen as a converted prostitute. However, returning to the Bible allows to restore her relevant role at the beginnings of Christianity. The Gospel texts that mention her explicitly locate her at the Cross, at the tomb and as most privileged witness of the resurrection. The following contribution examines those texts in order to bring her own features to light.
