Matemáticas en movimiento. Integración de contenidos de matemáticas y de educación física

Se aprovechan las relaciones entre algunos de los contenidos curriculares de Matemáticas y Educación Física para proponer un taller integrado por diversas actividades interdisciplinares. Se utiliza el modelo de estructuración de las sesiones de Educación Física para favorecer el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes de Educación Primaria y facilitar la adquisición de los conocimientos matemáticos a través del juego.

At Primary stage Mathematics requires an experiential sense, so contents should be presented through familiar contexts, previous learning or everyday situations. To achieve this, it can be helpful to work on Mathematics together with Physical Education because playing permits us to take a cross-curricular approach to a range of competences influencing the channels of physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. The two workshops presented in this article show teachers how to use relations between curricular content of both subjects to design interdisciplinary activities that promote the holistic development of students and to facilitate the acquisition of mathematical knowledge.
