Más que palabras. La fe profesada

El artículo aborda la naturaleza del lenguaje de la fe cristiana. En él se indica
que la fe no se reduce a simples palabras, sino que es una experiencia que trasciende el lenguaje, pero que, al mismo tiempo, necesita de la palabra para expresarse.
Para ello, se analizan diferentes lenguajes en que la fe se manifiesta, destacando
la tensión entre la fijación de las formulaciones dogmáticas y la necesidad de una
comprensión profunda y dinámica de sus mismas palabras. Bajo estas premisas,
se presenta la controversia arriana como un ejemplo de cómo la fe necesita ser
defendida y definida, y de cómo el Credo de Nicea ofreció una respuesta, perenne,
contextualizada y abierta, a esta situación particular

This article considers the nature of the language of Christian faith. It argues that
faith is not just mere words, but that it is an experience that transcends language
but at the same time requires the word to be expressed. To do so, different languages through which faith is manifested are analysed, highlighting the tension between the establishment of dogmatic formulations and the need for a deep and
dynamic understanding of their words. Under these premises, the Arian controversy is presented as an example of how faith must be defined and defended, and
of how the Nicaean Creed offered a response that was enduring, contextualised
and open to this particular situation.
