La situación de opt-out del Reino Unido en el espacio de libertad, seguridad y justicia : especial referencia a las implicaciones del Protocolo 36

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la figura jurídica del opt-out o cláusula de
exención, en especial aquellas existentes en el marco del Espacio de Libertad,
Seguridad y Justicia de la Unión Europea. Por el interés que suscitan los
acontecimientos que transcurrirán durante los próximos meses, se estudiará en
profundidad el alcance y las implicaciones que el block opt-out, introducido por el
Protocolo 36, tendrá para el Reino Unido y el conjunto de la Unión Europea, después
del 1 de diciembre de 2014.

This paper aims to analyse the legal mechanism of the opt-out, specially the ones
existing within the framework of the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice of the
European Union. Due to the interest raised by the events that will take place in the
following months, we will study the scope and implications that the block opt-out,
introduced by Protocol 36, will have for the United Kingdom and the European Union
after the first of December 2014.
