El artículo realiza un repaso a la historiografía católica sobre el reformador alemán Martín Lutero. Partiendo de la imagen tradicional heredera del J. Cocleo, aborda la evolución que se ha producido a lo largo del siglo XX en la consideración tanto de su persona como de su teología y proyecto reformador.

The article reviews the Catholic historiography on the German reformer Martin Luther. Starting from the traditional image inherited from J. Cocleo, it deals with the evolution that has taken place throughout the 20th century in the consideration of both his person and his theology and reformation project.
