El pasado mes de mayo se cumplió el cincuenta aniversario de la publi-cación de la Pacem in terris. Si la Rerum novarum(1891) dio origen a la Doctrina Socialde la Iglesia, la Pacem in terrisfue y sigue siendo capital para entender desde la filoso-fía política el compromiso de la Iglesia con el mundo y el hombre de nuestros días. Lapaz, los derechos humanos, el bien común, el nuevo orden jurídico, la libertad, Diosen su relación con el hombre y el mundo serán las claves con las que la Iglesia se com-prenda a sí misma y con las que dialogue con el mundo.
Last May was the 50thanniversary of the publication of Pacem in terris. IfRerum novarum(1891) gave rise to the Social Doctrine of the Church, Pacem in terriswas and still is essential to understand, from the political philosophy point of view,the Church’s commitment with the world and the individual of today. Peace, HumanRights, common good, the new legal regime, freedom, God in his relationship with theindividual would be the key points with which the Church will understand itself anddialogue with the rest of the world.
