Resumen
El artículo, en primer lugar, muestra el paralelismo existente entre las figuras de San Agustín y Dante, remarcando la importancia de dos de sus obras fundamentales: la Ciudad de Dios y la Divina comedia. Y, en segundo lugar, señala la profunda influencia ejercida por la obra agustiniana en la Divina comedia, en particular en su propuesta política.
The article, first, shows the parallelism between the figures of San Agustín and Dante, highlighting the importance of two of his fundamental works: the City of God and the Divine Comedy. And, secondly, it points out the profound influence exerted by the Augustinian work on the Divine Comedy, particularly in its political proposal.
