La burbuja inmobiliaria : causa o efecto de la crisis : repercusión del estallido de la burbuja inmobiliaria sobre la crisis económica

El artificial y desmesurado crecimiento del mercado de la vivienda entre 1997 y
2007 y el posterior estallido de la enorme burbuja inmobiliaria, propiciaron la
generación de una de las crisis económicas y financieras más significativas de
la historia de España. La base de este trabajo radica en demostrar la conexión
causa-efecto entre el sector inmobiliario y la crisis económica, así como la
influencia decisiva que el mercado inmobiliario tuvo en la debacle del sistema
financiero español, fundamentalmente en las Cajas de Ahorro, como
consecuencia de la interdependencia instaurada entre los dos sectores.

The artificial and disproportionate growth of the housing market between 1997
and 2007, together with the subsequent burst of the real estate bubble,
contributed to the creation of one of the most significant economic and financial
crisis in the history of Spain. The basis of this work is to demonstrate the
existence of a cause-effect connection between the real estate sector and the
economic crisis, as well as the decisive influence the real estate market had on
the collapse of the Spanish financial sector, primarily in relation to the Cajas de
Ahorro, due to the interdependence established between the two sectors.
