Entendiendo al enfermo con Patología DUAL desde el núcleo familiar

Este trabajo está destinado a conocer lo que es la Patología DUAL, las distintas enfermedades de salud mental que se asocian al consumo de drogas, tales como: la esquizofrenia, el trastorno bipolar o el trastorno límite de la personalidad.
Para la familia es un reto muy importante asumir y aceptar al ser querido que padece esta patología. Este proyecto educativo se propone ayudar a los cuidadores y a la familia a afrontar con la mayor dignidad y el respeto posible el gran reto que es el trato y la comunicación con el enfermo ya que forma parte del entorno familiar y son los que viven de forma más cercana toda su evolución.
Es preciso conocer cómo ha evolucionado el trato, la relación y los distintos recursos a los que pueden optar este tipo de pacientes para poder entender cómo hemos llegado a la situación actual en la que se encuentra la Patología DUAL y su contacto con la familia.

This work is intended to get a closer look on what is the DUAL pathology and the various diseases of mental health that are associated with the consumption of drugs, such as: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder..
Assuming and accepting the loved one is going through this kind of disease is one of the most difficult things to accept for the family. This educational project intends to help caregivers and family cope with the great challenge that is communicating with the patient and helping him undergo the treatment, since this is part of the family environment and they are by his side throughout all the changes (all of these trying to preserve the dignity and respect for the family to the largest extend possible).
In order to do so, we need to know the development of the treatment, the relationship and the different resources this type of patients could choose between, so we can understand how they got into the current situation, which is the DUAL pathology, and how is their relationship with the family.
