El arjé del líder

El liderazgo político es y ha sido estudiado ampliamente a lo largo de la historia, utilizando distintos prismas y puntos de vista para su análisis. Actualmente esta figura, la del líder político es bastante controvertida. Por ello parece difícil identificar una serie de características comunes a los mismos. Sin embargo, a lo largo de las distintas etapas históricas numerosos filósofos y pensadores han teorizado sobre esta figura y han presentado cuáles serían a su parecer las cualidades ideales de un líder político. Este trabajo busca analizar estas habilidades o características en el pensamiento de grandes autores clásicos. Concretamente se establecerá un dialogo entre autores griegos y romanos para apreciar no solo las cualidades comunes y un patrón general sino también las aportaciones propias de cada uno de ellos. Finalmente examinaremos si podemos afirmar si existe un prototipo de “líder clásico” y si sigue habiendo ecos del mismo en nuestros días.

Political leadership is and has been studied widely throughout History, using different prisms and points of view for its analysis. Nowadays, this figure, the political leader, is quite controversial. Because of that, it seems difficult to identify common features between them. However, throughout the different historical stages, various philosophers and thinkers have theorized about this figure and have presented what would seem to them the ideal qualities of a political leader. This work seeks to analyze these personal skills or characteristics in the thinking of great classical authors, establishing a dialogue between Greek and Roman authors to appreciate not only the common qualities and some general patterns but also the own contributions of each one of them. Finally, we will examine if we can affirm that there is a prototype of a "classic leader" and whether there are still echoes of it in our days.
