La moral sexual en la Iglesia está viviendo un momento histórico especialmente relevante, pues se enfrenta a una importante encrucijada: ante la incomprensión
o indiferencia de la sociedad a sus propuestas éticas, ¿es momento de replantear contenidos o es suficiente con adaptar las formas de presentarlas? No faltan voces
desde dentro que llaman a escuchar a las parejas de hoy (más aún a las mujeres), que reclaman el respeto a la propia conciencia y una sana prudencia y humildad en
nuestras propuestas. Es un deber propio de los cristianos ofrecer al mundo la riqueza del mensaje de Jesús que, también en el ámbito de la sexualidad, es capaz de dar
sentido y dignidad a los hombres y mujeres de hoy: un amor personal, fiel y fecundo en crecimiento continuo desde las condiciones de posibilidad que nos son dadas.
Sexual morality in the Church is at a particularly significant point in history as it approaches a decisive crossroads: faced with society s incomprehension or indifference
regarding its ethical proposals, is it now time for an overhaul of content or is it suffice to adapt the ways we present it? There is no shortage of inner voices calling
for the couples of today to be heard (even more so women), voices that emphasise respect for our own conscience and a healthy prudence and humbleness in our proposals. It is our inherent duty as Christians to furnish the world with the richness of Jesus message that, even within the realm of sexuality, is capable of giving meaning and dignity to the men and women of today: personal, faithful and fruitful love in continuous growth from the conditions of possibility that we are given.
