Cultura en estudiantes universitarios, estudio
comparativo entre Japón y España

La época universitaria es uno de los momentos más importantes para una persona. Es la etapa en la que se decide el futuro profesional, se empieza a entrar en la edad adulta y se comienza a tener ciertas responsabilidades de peso.
Se puede observar que, dependiendo del país en el que se estudié la universidad, la vida universitaria y los métodos de estudios son diferentes. Algunos países como España, son percibidos como países en los que se tiene un nivel de exigencia medio y que los estudiantes tienden a privilegiar la vida social antes que los estudios. Sin embargo, en países como Japón, se tiene la costumbre de pensar que la exigencia es muy elevada y que se tiende a privilegiar el estudio a la vida social. Por ello creemos importante realizar este estudio comparativo para poder demostrar si estas afirmaciones son ciertas y además de serlo o no poder explicar el por qué.
El presente trabajo pretende realizar un estudio comparativo entre las culturas en estudiantes universitarios de Japón y España. En dicho trabajo presentaremos, en primer lugar, una introducción al concepto de cultura, en segundo lugar, se realizará una aproximación a la cultura japonesa, en tercer lugar, se presentará una aproximación a la cultura española. En cuarto lugar, se presentará cómo es el sistema educativo japonés y cómo es el sistema educativo español. En quinto lugar, se presentará la teoría de las dimensiones de Hofstede y se aplicará dicha teoría a estudiantes universitarios nipones y españoles.

University period is one of the most important moments for a person. It is the stage in which the professional future is decided, people begin to enter adulthood and it begins to have certain weighty responsibilities.
It can be seen that, depending on the country in which the university was studied, university life and study methods are different. Some countries, such as Spain, are perceived as countries where there is a medium level of demand and that students tend to privilege social life before studies. However, in countries like Japan, it is customary to think that the requirement is very high and that study tends to privilege social life. For this reason, we believe it is important to carry out this comparative study in order to demonstrate whether these statements are true and, in addition to being true or not, to explain why.
The present work tries to carry out a comparative study between cultures in university students from Japan and Spain. In this paper we will present, firstly, an introduction to the concept of culture, secondly, an approach to Japanese culture will be made, thirdly, an approach to Spanish culture will be presented. Fourth, it will present what the Japanese educational system is like and what the Spanish educational system is like. Fifth, Hofstede's theory of dimensions will be presented and the theory will be applied to Japanese and Spanish university students
