Conceptualización de un nuevo modelo de sostenibilidad para la Fundación Ingenieros ICAI

La Fundación Ingenieros ICAI ha comenzado a principios de 2019 una nueva etapa. Actualmente trabaja para consolidar una comunidad de ingenieros comprometidos por conseguir un mundo más justo y sostenible cediendo su conocimiento y su tiempo. Sin embargo, necesita un nuevo modelo de sostenibilidad que le permita crecer y general más impacto social. Este el objetivo fundamental de este trabajo.
Tras un estudio y análisis DAFO de cada una de las líneas tradicionales de financiación en el sector no lucrativo, de otras líneas no tradicionales, así como de otros modelos de sostenibilidad novedosos fuera del sector no lucrativo, se ha llegado a la propuesta de las siguientes líneas:
1. La organización de unos seminarios de sensibilización con formato de mesa redonda para alumnos e ingenieros, siendo el patrocinio su modelo de sostenibilidad correspondiente.
2. Creación de una red de empresas que conformen el Consejo Asesor de la Fundación, las cuales tendrán la posibilidad de ser partícipes de una nueva práctica pionera en el sector de la ingeniería en España, denominada pro bono. El modelo de sostenibilidad correspondiente a esta línea será la cuota anual a pagar por las empresas que sean miembro de esta iniciativa.
3. Dos nueva iniciativas dentro de la línea de emprendimiento social, siendo estas “la misión” y un hackathon. Ambas, tendrán como objetivo la resolución de un reto por equipos con diversidad de ingenieros, siendo la primera una iniciativa con inicio y fin en un periodo de tiempo más extenso que la segunda, que se trata de un encuentro universitario con duración máxima de dos días. El modelo de sostenibilidad correspondiente a estas nuevas iniciativas será o bien el patrocinio y el de la aportación correspondiente a las empresas por la participación de sus empleados en algún reto.

Fundación Ingenieros ICAI has started a new stage at the beginning of 2019. It is currently working to consolidate a community of engineers committed to achieving a fairer and more sustainable world by giving up their knowledge and time. However, it needs a new model of sustainability that could allow it to grow and generate more social impact. This is the main objective of this project.
After a SWOT analysis and study of each of the traditional lines of financing in the non-profit sector, other non-traditional lines, as well as other innovative sustainability models outside the non-profit sector, the following lines have been proposed:
1. The organization of awareness-raising seminars in the form of a round table for students and engineers, with sponsorship being the corresponding model of sustainability.
2. The creation of a network of companies that make up the Foundation's Advisory Council, which will have the possibility of participating in a new pioneering practice in the engineering sector in Spain, called pro bono. The sustainability model corresponding to this line will be the annual fee to be paid by the companies that are members of this initiative.
3. Two new initiatives within the line of social entrepreneurship, being these "the mission" and a hackathon. Both will have the objective of solving a challenge by teams with a diversity of engineers, the first being an initiative that will begin and end in a longer period of time than the second, which is a university meeting with a maximum duration of two days. The model of sustainability corresponding to these new initiatives will be either sponsorship or the corresponding contribution to companies for the participation of their employees in some challenge.
